The Trip to Te Papa

Kia Ora, Yesterday my class room 3 went on a trip to Wellington to see Te papa. On the bus I started to get sick but I got over it fast. On the bus we were singing kapa haka songs and some uh other songs but it was fun. When we arrived I was very excited even though I've been there before but who cares. We all got put in groups, I was in a group with Ajia, Lia, Ella - Jaye, Lexi, Jessica and Jaye. After that we all decided where we wanted to first. We chose the Earthquake house. To be honest it wasn't that great but it was still cool I guess.

After the Earthquake house we went to Gallipoli with all the army sculptures, they were so cool! As much as I wanted to touch them we weren't aloud Oh well. You would have to walk around and then when you saw an army sculpture it would have the person talking in the background. They looked so real!

When we left Gallipoli we decided to go and eat because we were so hungry. Then we met up with another group and we ate with them. We ended up walking around with the other group. After eating we went to the top floor to see the Marae it was pretty cool but I have been to a lot of Maraes in my life. We took a photo and I touched the huge green stone. It felt so soft and slimy.

We went to the Toi Art last. It looked so beautiful! It was so colourful! I wonder how they made it. It must've Taken so long, I would never be able to make my art look as good as that. The art even had my favourite colours in it. It was like this little colourful shape on a line but heaps of them on the line and they were everywhere.

Sadly we had to leave Te Papa, I so wish we had more time! But I totally recommend Te Papa. If you haven't been there you should really go!

The Trip To Capital E

Kia ora, yesterday me and my class room 3 went to Capital E. Capital E is a place where you can make beats and different types of music. When we got there we had to wait outside until our tutor came. It took a while but when she came she told us the rules and where the toilet is.

I'm pretty sure everyone was excited to go in because we got to make our own music! We went into this room and some music was playing. We sat down and she showed us what to do after that we buddied up, I buddied up with Ajia we made like beats it was really cool. At the end we all sat on the mat and she played all our music. sadly we had to leave.

It was such a fun day!

This is what I made on Scratch

Today, I made an animation on Scratch. I made my own animal on Google Drawings as you can see I made a rabbit it was pretty hard! But I got through it, I totally recommend Scratch it's honestly so fun. Whatever arrow you push the rabbit will go there.

Myth Reading

In this picture my problem solving group we were reading our myths we recently finished, we had to write them on our chromebooks then publish, then layout our myths how we wanted it and then Mr Ward published them and we had to illustratrate them. and it honestly took forever.

Holes

This term room 3 has been reading Holes by Louis Sachar, Holes is a great book! I highly recommend this book.

Holes is about kids who have done something naughty or bad. if you do something bad you have to go to Camp Green Lake, you honestly don't want to go there! all you do is dig holes 24/7 like seriously. In the book two of the kids escape! there names are Stanley and Zero.

My favourite character is Zero because he is a really fast digger and he's nice! and he was the first one to escape.

My favourite holes activity was making a shovel.
