The Trip to Te Papa

Kia Ora, Yesterday my class room 3 went on a trip to Wellington to see Te papa. On the bus I started to get sick but I got over it fast. On the bus we were singing kapa haka songs and some uh other songs but it was fun. When we arrived I was very excited even though I've been there before but who cares. We all got put in groups, I was in a group with Ajia, Lia, Ella - Jaye, Lexi, Jessica and Jaye. After that we all decided where we wanted to first. We chose the Earthquake house. To be honest it wasn't that great but it was still cool I guess.

After the Earthquake house we went to Gallipoli with all the army sculptures, they were so cool! As much as I wanted to touch them we weren't aloud Oh well. You would have to walk around and then when you saw an army sculpture it would have the person talking in the background. They looked so real!

When we left Gallipoli we decided to go and eat because we were so hungry. Then we met up with another group and we ate with them. We ended up walking around with the other group. After eating we went to the top floor to see the Marae it was pretty cool but I have been to a lot of Maraes in my life. We took a photo and I touched the huge green stone. It felt so soft and slimy.

We went to the Toi Art last. It looked so beautiful! It was so colourful! I wonder how they made it. It must've Taken so long, I would never be able to make my art look as good as that. The art even had my favourite colours in it. It was like this little colourful shape on a line but heaps of them on the line and they were everywhere.

Sadly we had to leave Te Papa, I so wish we had more time! But I totally recommend Te Papa. If you haven't been there you should really go!
