Otaki Youth Space
On Wednesday, some people came from the Kapiti Coast District Council to our class to talk about an Otaki youth Space, they put us in groups and had different workshops for each groups to go to. What would a youth Space have? Like activities, fun games and spaces. Where would it be? Well it could be anywhere but I think in the Otaki town, because it's in the middle of Otaki basically. What sort of space would you want it to be? Probably just like a fun space, somewhere where anyone can go and feel safe. I hope that a youth Space in Otaki will be worth going there, and fun.
For me, if the Council Made a Youth Space in Otaki,I would love for it to have:
- Fun games
- Heaps of people to meet
- Movie nights
- Heaps of fruit
- Trampoline park
Here's a photo of two of the workshops that were there!

Horticulture block!
On Tuesdays me and my class use to go outside to the Horticulture block to help with gardening. Me, Nevaeh, Sammy, Libby and Bailey did soil testing. We had a bucket and a shovel and we went around the garden to get different types of soil into the bucket. Then we had to put it in a bag and Mike was going to send it off to get it tested.
My Tapa Art!
Last week was Tongan language week, me and my class made Tapa cloths to celebrate. Firstly we researched some Tongan designs, and sketched what we wanted to draw! Once we finished our sketch we moved onto our real design, we used brown paper and drew our designs in pencil then over lined it all with black, and some people used a brown marker to colour in some of there Tapa cloth. Now that we had finished drawing it all we scrunched it up a few times to give it a wrinkled type of look, once they were done we dyed them with dye.

Tract is a very fun website, you can do a whole bunch of activities... Such as origami, making food, Building certain things on mine craft, among us hacks and plenty more! You can chose heaps of different path ways to do and missions. Once you start a pathway you have to do the missions, and never give up!! When you complete a mission you get XP and once you have enough XP you can buy things from tract such as being the CEO of tract for a day, Clothes, Hats!
Here is one of the things I've made. It is an origami butterfly! It took me about 10 minutes to make. Its very simple.
